XRPL RSI & Technical Analysis
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) scores recent price moves from 0 to 100. xrpl.to works it out for every listed token over seven time frames. What a reading means, today’s extremes, and why an extreme reading on a token that barely trades means little.

The time frames on xrpl.to
The RSI page shows every listed token’s reading over 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and 90 days, with filters for market cap, 24-hour volume and active tokens only, so a screen for oversold tokens can leave out the ones nobody trades.
Using it, carefully
- Check volume first. A reading means something only when enough trading produced it.
- Read it with the trend. In a steady fall RSI can stay low for weeks; “oversold” is not “about to rise”.
- Look for divergence. A new price high that RSI does not confirm shows the rise losing strength; the reverse for lows.
- Compare time frames. A short frame that disagrees with a long one is usually noise inside the larger move.
Before acting on any signal, check who holds the token and how deep its pool is (token safety guide).
Through the API
GET /v1/rsi?sort=rsi24h&order=asc&minVolume24h=1000 returns the same screen, and GET /v1/ohlc/{md5}?range=1M&interval=1d a token’s candles as [time, open, high, low, close, volume] rows to compute your own indicators (candle API guide).
Questions
- What does an RSI of 30 or 70 mean?
- Under 30, recent falls have far outweighed recent rises; over 70, the reverse. They are conventional lines, not rules: a strong trend can stay above 70 or below 30 for a long time.
- Why does a token show an extreme RSI with no trading?
- RSI is worked out from price changes between candles. A token that drifts down a little each day with almost no trades can read close to 0, which says nothing about buyers or sellers.
- Which RSI time frame should I use?
- The one that matches how long you hold: the 15-minute and hourly readings move with the day’s trading, the 7-, 30- and 90-day ones with the trend.
