XRPL Transaction Export - CSV Download & Tax Reporting

Every transaction on the XRP Ledger stays on it for good, so your whole history can be exported. Two ways to get it into a CSV file, what is in each, and how the ledger’s transaction types line up with what tax software asks for.

From your address page on xrpl.to

  1. Open xrpl.to/address/<your address> and go to its history.
  2. Filter by type if you want, and use Load more until the list reaches back far enough.
  3. Choose Export CSV above the list. It saves the rows on screen with these columns:

TimeTypeLabelDirectionAmountSpentReceivedCounterpartyFeeResultHash

A whole history in one file

XRPL Labs’ Transaction Exporter takes an address and fetches every transaction it ever made, for a single CSV. Tax tools such as Koinly or CoinTracker import CSV files, but each expects its own columns, so check its import guide before uploading.

What the transaction types mean

Payment, XRP or a tokenA transfer in or out; a payment in one currency that delivers another is a swap
OfferCreate that filledA trade on the exchange: one asset sold, another bought
AMMDeposit / AMMWithdrawAssets put into or taken out of a pool, for LP tokens
NFTokenAcceptOfferAn NFT bought or sold, with the creator’s royalty taken from the price
TrustSetA token line opened or changed; no value moves
EscrowCreate / EscrowFinishXRP or tokens locked, then released
FeeEvery transaction burns a small XRP fee, shown on each row
How each is taxed depends on your country: XRP tax guide.

Before you file

  • Every account. Old wallets, exchange-created addresses and app wallets each have their own history.
  • Airdrops and rewards arrive as payments; note the token’s price on that day if your country taxes them as income (each token’s chart on xrpl.to goes back to its first trade).
  • Pools: a deposit and a later withdrawal can each count; keep both rows.

Questions

How do I export my XRP Ledger transactions to CSV?
On xrpl.to, open your address page, load the history you need, and use Export CSV above the list. For a whole history in one file, XRPL Labs’ XRPL TX Exporter fetches every transaction of an address.
Which XRP Ledger transactions are taxable?
That depends on where you live. Many countries tax a trade, a sale and income such as airdrops, and not a transfer between your own accounts; a tax adviser in your country can say which apply to you.
Why is my export missing trades?
Usually because they happened on another account. The ledger makes new accounts cheap, so list every address you have used, including old wallets and app wallets.
